Genesis 1 is a secure off-campus student accommodation that offers International and Australian students a quiet but friendly home during their studies. This world class student accommodation has 58 three bedroom units. With 174 en-suite rooms we can cater for both Australian and International students, young professionals and travellers and young adults taking a gap year. We endeavour to create a community where students and young adults from every race, religion and culture live in harmony and make lifelong friendships in an environment also conducive to study. Modern Student Apartments

In Genesis 1 Student accommodation all the student units have 3 student bedrooms and 3 bathrooms  and a common area. The air-conditioned common area is fully furnished with a 2.5 seater couch, armchair and pod ottoman, a coffee table, TV, DVD player. The dining area has a table and 4 chairs. The kitchen has a cook top and oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and all the utensils a student needs to prepare and serve a their meals. There is a laundry with a washer and dryer, basin and cupboard, iron and ironing board. There is also a dedicated balcony with outdoor furniture to be shared amongst the residents of the apartment.

Your Own Room

Each student bedroom contains a king single bed with the extra length for a taller student and extra width for comfort, built in wardrobe, inbuilt desk, chair and book case and bedside drawers.  Each resident has their own private en suite attached to their room which includes a shower, toilet, cupboard and basin.

Weekly rent also includes allowance for electricity, water (hot & cold) and a provision of internet (dependent on lease term).

Type A

This style of apartment is laid out over one level. This apartment features a large balcony at the front of the unit which can fit additional outdoor furniture.
All Rooms are approximately the same size.
All rentals include a provision for electricity, water and 3GB of internet per month when you sign a 6 month lease or take advantage of our promotional 12 month lease and receive 10GB internet monthly.
Room available immediately and becoming available later this month and in July.
All room styles available for the second semester for girls or guys only and mixed sex units


Type E

This style of apartment is laid out over two levels. It provides a better separation between the common living area and your own room to ensure that you can study with fewer distractions.
The rooms in this apartment type vary in size. They are therefore priced differently to reflect their relative size and position.
The E style end rooms are priced at $225.00 per week A with a balcony and C with no balcony – the middle rooms – room B – have two price points – $200 limited window or $210.00 with window.
Promotion: Sign a 12 month lease and receive 10GB internet monthly. 6 month lease will still get 3GB of internet monthly.
We have all rooms available for the second semester.

We have 3 middle E style room available immediately.
In one unit the other tenants are females. Suitable for a female. Rent $210 per week.
In two units the other two tenants are guys and these rooms are suitable for either a girl or a guy. The rent is $200 per week in the one and $210 in the other.


Type G

This style of apartment is laid out over two levels. It provides a better separation between the common living area and your own room to ensure that you can study with fewer distractions.
This superior apartment features larger than average rooms, private bathroom, built in robes in the upstairs rooms and a walk in robe in the double room downstairs. The rent is $230 per room suitable for a single person per week or $300 per week suitable for 2 people sharing ($150 each).

We offer 6 month leases with 3GB of internet included or Sign a promotional 12 month lease and receive 10GB internet monthly.

1 upstairs room available immediately. This is a fantastic big room with a private balcony and a view of Mount Gravatt. Tenant breaking her lease looking for someone to take over her lease urgently.

2 large upstairs rooms looking into the complex and the swimming pool.

1 large upstairs room with private balcony with a view.

1 double room downstairs suitable for 2 students sharing. This is a male only unit. Rent is $150 each person sharing.

We take extra care to make sure that common areas are well kept and treated well by all residents who enjoy their use. For anything that we don’t have, you can bet it’s not far from our central Brisbane location at Mt Gravatt.

Our pool also has a BBQ area and common recreation room with a small  library, that can be freely used by all residents. A great place to cool off in the warm summer weather that Brisbane is famous for.


Private Ensuite

Unlike a lot of other student accommodations, each resident at Genesis 1 has their own private ensuite. This ensures that you will have your own private space when you need it the most.

Each ensuite contains a toilet, shower, basin with cupboards and a mirror. Everything you’ll need to get ready for the day ahead.

Get Fit and Stay Fit

We think health and fitness is important, this is why our gym is freely available to all residents at Genesis 1 at no extra charge. We have treadmills, bikes, a rowing and weight machine all within an air conditioned room.

We are also only a short walk away from the Hibiscus Sports Complex which has plenty of extra sporting facilities such as a gym, indoor courts, three pools, a squash centre and skate park.

What a great place for students to live. Safe, clean, well maintained, convenient, friendly and with fantastic on site managers John and Therese who are doing a great job taking care of everything there. It’s not just a job to them but a passion. There’s a gym, library, swimming pool, underground car park and it’s gated. Peace of mind for students and parents alike. Best of all everyone gets their own en suite plus study area in their room. High speed internet is a rare thing in student accommodation and they have the best of the best. You will be pleasantly surprised at the affordable cost to stay here too. Highly recommend!
